Commerzbank's UI UX Design of the Postbox

As a UI/UX designer, I am excited to present my work on the creation of the postbox feature for Commerzbank's online banking platform. In this portfolio, I will focus on how our design approach helped the bank reduce costs and improve sustainability.

Commerzbank was looking to enhance its online banking platform by providing customers with a more convenient way to manage their mail. As a part of this initiative, the bank identified the need for a postbox feature that would allow customers to access their digital mail without having to visit a bank branch.

One of the primary challenges of this project was to create a user-friendly postbox feature that would be accessible to customers of all technical abilities. Additionally, we had to ensure that the postbox feature was compliant with data privacy laws and security regulations while also reducing the bank's costs.

The project began with extensive research into the needs and expectations of Commerzbank's online banking customers. We conducted interviews and surveys to gain insights into how users currently manage their mail and what features they would like to see in a postbox.
Based on our research, we created several prototypes of the postbox feature and conducted user testing to refine our designs. We also collaborated closely with Commerzbank's legal and security teams to ensure that the postbox feature was compliant with all relevant regulations.

The final postbox feature we created allowed Commerzbank's customers to sustainably manage their mail without the use of paper and without having to visit a bank branch. This not only provided a more convenient user experience but also helped the bank reduce costs by reducing the need for physical banking locations and saving money on rent and post costs.
Additionally, the postbox feature includes options for sorting and searching mail, and customers can also receive notifications when new mail arrives. This has improved the overall user experience and provided a valuable service to Commerzbank's online banking customers.

The creation of the postbox feature for Commerzbank's online banking platform was a challenging but rewarding project. Through extensive research, collaboration, and testing, we were able to create a valuable and user-friendly feature that meets the needs of Commerzbank's online banking customers while also helping the bank reduce costs and improve sustainability.
